RECORDING ARTIST SWIZZ BEATZ
TO SPEAK WITH NYC YOUTH
AT INTREPID SEA, AIR & SPACE MUSEUM

Grammy Award-winning producer and recording artist Swizz Beatz will share his experiences in the music industry and talk about the challenges he has overcome on his path to success with a group of New York City music students from The Bronx Charter School for the Arts (BxA), Women’s Academy of Excellence (WAE), East Harlem Women's Leadership School and Music Unites Ambassadors as part of the Intrepid Museum’s Power of One eminent speakers program on Thursday, January 17, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, located at Pier 86 (46th Street and 12th Avenue), Manhattan.

Following a round table discussion with Swizz Beatz, the students will be given the opportunity to perform a selection of pieces that showcase their musical talents.

The Intrepid Museum’s Power of One program allows students to meet and hear from community members who share their experiences and insights about overcoming challenges to achieve success, the importance of civic involvement and a love of their country.  It is based on the notion that a single event can change a young person’s life or start them on the road to change.  The Power of One program is consistent with the mission of the Intrepid to “honor our heroes, educate the public and inspire our youth.”
