|The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is one of America’s leading historic, cultural and educational institutions. The Intrepid Museum is looking for a Temporary Data Assistant who will be responsible for assisting in the data entry of the Museum’s constituent databases. Under the supervision of the Manager of Records and Data, the Records & Data Assistant will perform tasks related to cleaning up the constituent and financial records of the Institutional Advancement department.
- Assist the Manager of Records and Data with large-scale clean-up of the Raiser’s Edge database. The clean-up will require the candidate to work in both Excel and Raiser’s Edge.
- Standardize historical development data. Combine and sort data to assist in the effort to implement and maintain consistent coding standards.
- Assist with occasional data requests for members of the development and executive teams.
The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience; and strong knowledge of and confidence with MS Excel. Your Excel skills must include: the ability to sort and filter worksheets, proficiency with formulas such as Trim and Sum, joining data strings using “&,” proficiency with formatting a spreadsheet for printing, and knowledge of the ‘data’ tab (text to columns, remove duplicates, etc.). The candidate must also have a familiarity with data entry in Raiser’s Edge; an ability to manage large amounts of data; ability to complete projects in a timely manner and high level of attention to detail. The candidate must be able to closely manage timelines and meet deadlines, communicate effectively with members of the Development Team both verbally and in writing. This person should be able to work independently, as well as in a team environment. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and other overtime as necessary.
