The Power of One

Power of One is Intrepid’s free eminent speakers program, in which prominent members of the New York City community and beyond speak to students who are overcoming their own struggles in order to achieve success.  Power of One is based on the notion that a specific moving and inspiring event in a young person’s life can start them on a path to positive change.

Youth Leadership Conferences (YLC)

These programs give students the opportunity to explore the six core elements of character by learning directly from professionals in their community and beyond. Students speak to corporate, civic and community mentors who come from such professionals as women who serve in the scientific community, firefighters, police, teachers and other public service professionals, members of our armed forces, and dynamic members of the business community.
