The Intrepid is a long-standing symbol of leadership and service. These programs give students the opportunity to explore the six core elements of character by learning directly from professionals in their community and beyond. In small-group sessions, students speak to corporate, civic and community mentors who embody the traits of a strong leaders and come from such professionals as women who serve in the scientific community, firefighters, police, teachers and other public service professionals, members of our armed forces, and dynamic members of the business community all donate their time to share their lives and experiences with students. YLC’s can integrate video conferencing and incorporate student designed and lead workshops.
Youth Leadership Conferences are custom designed based on student and teacher interest and curriculum needs. If you or someone you know would make an outstanding mentor or guest speaker at a Power of One or Youth Leadership Conference, or you have students who would like to attend, please contact the educationprograms@intrepidmuseum.org or 646-381-5174. |
