On Wednesday, October 30, the Intrepid Museum will be open late, until 8:00pm, as we celebrate Halloween on the Hudson. In addition to two separate screenings of the family-friendly movie Hocus Pocus, at 4:00pm and 6:00pm, there is a chance for children to decorate their own Trick or Treat bags and explore the Museum to receive their treats!
From 3:00pm to 8:00pm, the Exploreum Interactive Hall will be filled with free face painting, Halloween crafts, and spooky science demonstrations from the Intrepid Education team. Make your own silly putty to take home or visit the Space Shuttle Pavilion to learn the mysteries behind comets!
Elsewhere throughout the Museum, Tour Guide Talks will take place throughout the evening, including the Naval Superstitions. There will also be two free Superhero Tours: one at 5:00pm and a special Superhero Flashlight Tour of the Flight Deck at 6:45pm, after it gets dark!
All activities are free with Museum Admission. Share your pictures and follow along on Twitter with #IntrepidHalloween. A full schedule of events, including all the Education Demonstrations and Tour Guide Talks, extra Guided Tours, and a Monster Mash Dance Party with DJ Evan K, is available on our website.
