Intrepid hosted its 5th annual Hometown Heroes Day on Sunday September 19th, featuring the presentation of awards to the winners of this year’s hometown heroes contest. Winners in each category included, Community Service Award: Nicole McGrath, DDS, Mentor Award: Steve Larosiliere, Youth Community Service Award: David Engle and Service person Award: Christopher Schiavo. The ceremony was hosted by Michael Gargiulo- Anchor/Reporter, WNBC 4 New York who recognized each winner’s achievements and accomplishments as they were given an historic piece of Intrepid’s wooden Flight Deck.
