Are audio tours available?
Yes, Audio Tours are available. Immerse yourself in the Intrepid adventure as you walk the ship and hear the pilots' and crew members' stories in their own words. All audio tours include children's content as well. Tours are available in the following languages: English, Spanish, Italian, French, Chinese, Japanese, and Allemand. please click here for pricing information.
Does the Museum allow photography or videotaping?
Personal cameras and video are allowed, however professional equipment including the use of tripods are not. If you would like to arrange a photoshoot or use any images associated with the museum, please contact our public relations department at lsacks@intrepidmuseum.org
Do you provide guided tours?
The Intrepid offers public guided tours of the ship every Saturday and Sunday. These tours are given two times per day and last approximately 90 minutes. Each session can accommodate a maximum of 20 people. The tour includes the Hangar Deck and Flight Deck and is a great way to experience the ship and learn about all of the history and activities that the men that served on her endured. The tour includes areas of the ship that are off-limits to the general public and spots fill up quickly. Please inquire at the box office or information desk on board. This service is offered for an additional fee above the price of admission.
How much time will it take me to view all of the exhibits in the Museum?
You should plan on spending 2-3 hours to allow for the full Intrepid Experience.
I have lost something at the Intrepid. What do I do?
Please fill out this form: http://www.intrepidmuseum.org/LostandFound.aspx. We cannot respond individually to all inquiries received. However, rest assured that we will contact you either by e-mail or telephone if the article you reported lost has been found, or an article that may be your property has been turned in. At that time we will verify if indeed, the property is yours, and if so, provide information to you on how your property may be returned to your custody.
Is the Museum wheelchair accessible?
Intrepid Museum is a certified destination for Accessible NYC for more info visit www.accessiblenyc.org.
Because of the Intrepid’s status as an historic landmark, most, although not all, of the Museum is fully accessible by wheelchair. Areas that are not accessible by wheelchair include the Fo’c’s’le, Combat Information Center, Growler submarine and Concorde. All restrooms and dining areas are fully accessible, as well the flight deck, hangar deck, and mess deck.

There is food service available throughout the premises and a Museum Store for all your needs from batteries, cameras, shirts, hats and toys for the children.

Ticket Purchases
I attempted to purchase tickets online but was given a specific time slot, can I come in at that time only?
The time slot you were given is a reference # that allows us to refer to online ticketing. You may use the tickets purchased online for ANY time throughout the entire day that you have selected.
Is the Growler and Concorde included with admission or do I have to purchase a separate ticket?
The general admission to the museum includes the Intrepid Aircraft carrier and the Growler. The British Airways Concorde is only open for private guided tours and are available daily. Click here for more information.
Growler is subject to close 1 hour prior to the closing of Museum closing.
