| All education programs are created in alignment with New York State and national standards. Teachers will receive pre-visit and post-visit worksheets to reinforce the information presented during programs. |

Museum Tours
J ourney through the Intrepid to learn about the history and science behind the ship and its artifacts. These one-hour programs are led by museum educators. Topics include Life Aboard the Intrepid, Stem to Stern, All Hands Explore Tour, Aviation, and Little Sailors.

Museum Workshops
Combining a tour of the ship with hands-on activities, these one and a half hour programs promote close examination of the museum’s collection, teamwork, and critical thinking skills. Topics include water, aviation, history and space.

Off-Site School Programs
For classes that are unable to travel to the museum or that desire a pre-visit experience, Intrepid Sails brings Intrepid into K-12th grade classrooms. Led by Museum Educators, these 45-minute programs include a multimedia presentation and hands-on activity. |

Education programs and school rates are only available with advance reservations. Please make reservations at least two (2) weeks prior to the date in mind (for Monday visits, by Friday at 12:00pm). Reservations made within two (2) weeks of visit must be paid in full upon booking. Arrange your visit now by calling 646-381-5010 during our business hours - Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm (Wednesday – Sunday, 9:00am to 5:00pm for Birthday Parties) or completing our Group Request Form.
