The Salute To Freedom, a black-tie gala honoring the men and women of the Armed Forces, is hosted each autumn by the Intrepid Foundation. The event, on the hangar deck of the historic carrier, also recognizes outstanding national and international leaders who have stood tall in the defense of freedom and democracy. The first Salute To Freedom in 1992 honored then-Defense Secretary Dick Cheney. The 2001 dinner honored former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani and New York State Governor George Pataki.
More information on this year’s Salute To Freedom event will be displayed as the date approaches. For more immediate information please contact the Intrepid Foundation at 212.957.7020.
