Visit Marine Berthing on your way down from the Flight Deck, and then head down to the Crew Mess Area. Both areas were meticulously restored to their original look and feel.
On your visit be sure to have a snack in our newly completed restoration of the original Mess Deck where the ships 3,000 crewmen ate Navy chow around the clock. The area has been restored into a fully functional cafeteria complete with food service by McDonalds. Plan your day around lunch in the Mess Deck and feel like a part of the crew.
Use the starboard stairway to access our newly restored Marine Berthing (or sleeping) area. See how it was to bunk as a Marine aboard the Intrepid. Authentic "rack" sleeping and lockers make these quarters a must see.
