Perform center stage aboard the Intrepid. The Intrepid has a long history of staging great performances and yours could be next! Band, Choral and Dance performances are open to the public and advertised near the museum entrance for maximum audience exposure. Performance dates and times are promoted through the Intrepid Museum website and in the museum box office. Performance groups pay for museum admission and may choose from a number of other options available to enhance their overall experience. The Intrepid also offers opportunities to be involved in “Special Performance Series” and an annual “Battle of the Bands Competition”. This annual showcase features bands from all around the country competing for a number of great prizes and the right to be called “Intrepid Museum Band of the Year”. The spirited competition takes place at various locations inside the Intrepid Museum and has hosted incredible performances every year.
Performance Series
This unique opportunity allows your group to take center stage at the most historical and heroic destination in Manhattan. Your performances will spread throughout the day and allow multiple performances showcasing difference forms of music. Past performance series have included bands, choirs, and orchestras all on the same day. Create an experience to remember at a destination you will never forget.
