Intrepid Family of Foundations
The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is one of the Intrepid Family of Foundations, organizations that were all established by Zachary and Elizabeth Fisher. The Museum’s sister organizations share the goal of supporting the men and women of the United States armed forces, veterans and their families.
Fisher House Foundation
Fisher House LogoThe Fisher House Foundation constructs “comfort homes” at military and VA medical centers, enabling family members of hospitalized military personnel to be present during treatment. Today there are more than 60 Fisher Houses across the country, with many more planned or under construction. Annually, Fisher Houses serve 22,000 families. Since its establishment in 1990, the program has provided over 5.2 million days of lodging, saving military and veteran families more than $235 million in travel and lodging costs. Extending its mission of helping military families in need, the Fisher House Foundation also operates Hero Miles and Scholarships for Military Children.

Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund
IFHF - Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund LogoThe Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, (IFHF) serves United States military personnel experiencing the Invisible Wounds of War: Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS). In response to this critical need, IFHF is building a series of ten specially designed treatment facilities, named Intrepid Spirit Centers, at military bases across the country. Within these centers, service members receive the most advanced and proven care to address the complex symptoms of TBI and PTS.  More than 90% of service members treated at the Intrepid Spirit Centers are able to continue on Active Duty and enjoy a full life.  Seven Intrepid Spirit Centers have been built and are open at military bases around the country.  Three more of these critically-needed facilities remain to be built.  Each new Intrepid Spirit Center will provide care to thousands of service members suffering the devastating effects of TBI and PTS.  Each center costs $14 million to build and equip. 100% of donations to IFHF go directly to building Intrepid Spirit Centers; all administrative costs are paid for by the Board of Directors.
