Education Coordinator

The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is seeking a full-time Education Coordinator to work on the department’s administrative team. The administrative team handles all aspects of the department’s program reservations (including K-12, college and teacher groups, afterschool, camp and family programs, Access programs, community and distance learning programs), staffing and room coordination, equipment management, billing, supply ordering, group check in, management of attendance data, coordination with other departments, and document management and routing.
Reporting the Manager of Projects for Education, this is a non-teaching position.

Successful candidates will have:
•           A demonstrated attention to detail, organization and efficiency of time management
•           Strong written and verbal communication skills
•           Experience and a high level of proficiency with Excel and CRM or other database software 
•           The ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
•           An excellent phone manner - providing a positive customer service experience for schools, partners and parents

Candidates must have a minimum of an Associate’s degree, Bachelors of Arts or Sciences degree preferred. He/She/They will be an enthusiastic team member with an interest in the Museum’s mission, able to work in a lively, unique and busy environment
