What better way is there to spend your day than by coming to the Intrepid Museum to learn about history and science? Scout programs and activities are designed to help children earn requirements towards their Badges, Interest Projects, Loops or Try-Its.
On Scout Days children can participate in fun activities with museum educators and volunteers. Generally, children can participate in make-it and take-it activities and will be able to hear from speakers to learn about such topics as aviation, water conservation, civic duty or engineering. Activities take place between 11:00am and 2:30pm.
Join us for our Scout Days on:
  • May 16, 2015: Aerospace
How do airplanes fly? How do rockets fly? What’s the difference? Scouts will participate in hands-on activities to help them understand how planes and rockets manage to stay up in the sky when gravity is constantly trying to pull them down to Earth.
Scout Independent Studies Are Here
Can't get to the Museum on a Scout Day? Your scout may want to conduct an Independent Study. Independent Studies enable scouts to fulfill some of their advancement requirements while visiting the Intrepid Museum. Click on the link below to view the requirements scouts can earn by coming to the Museum with friends or family.
