UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar visited the Intrepid on Wednesday to promote the upcoming “Fight For the Troops II,” an event to raise money for the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund (IFHF). Edgar also signed autographs, posed for photos and showed off his championship belt.
“Fight for the Troops II” will be broadcast live from Fort Hood, TX January 22 at 9 pm ET on SPIKE TV featuring many of the best mixed martial arts fighters in the world. The first “Fight for the Troops” in 2008 raised $4 million for the IFHF.
UFC and SPIKE have teamed up with Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund to support our nation’s military who have suffered injuries in service to our nation. The Fund has provided over $120 million in support for the families of military personnel lost in service to our nation, and for severely wounded military personnel and veterans.
