Through the end of 2013, the Intrepid Museum will be sharing videos that showcase the individuals who inspire us as part of our Honor.Educate.Inspire campaign. Donations to the campaign fuel our mission to honor our heroes, educate the public and inspire our youth. With your help, the Intrepid Museum will continue to be a source of inspiration and innovation for generations to come.

In our next featured video, we hear from Chelsea Alonzo, a brilliant 15-year-old student from the Bronx, who participated in our Camp GOALS program this past summer. Camp GOALS for Girls stands for Greater Opportunities Advancing Leadership and Science for Girls, and is a free program geared specifically for 9th and 10th grade students. The program fosters curiosity and inspires students to explore the sciences and the endless opportunities within their reach.

During the 2012-2013 school year, more than 30,000 students participated in educational programs at the Museum—18,000 of which were students like Chelsea, participating at absolutely no cost.
