On December 7, the Museum will commemorate the 75th anniversary of an attack that revealed our country’s resilience, resolve and ability to unite in defense of uncompromisable freedoms. Join us on board Intrepid for events throughout the day, all free with Museum admission.
Wreath-Laying Ceremony | 11:00am–11:30am
Visitors are invited to join Pearl Harbor survivors and former Intrepid crew members for a ceremony on the ship’s fantail. Museum President Susan Marenoff-Zausner will offer remarks, and the survivors will lay a wreath in the Hudson River.
Live Broadcast of Commemoration in Hawaii | 12:45pm–2:15pm
The Museum’s Allison & Howard Lutnick Theater will show a live broadcast of the National Park Service’s commemoration at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Hawaii.
Tour Guide Talk: Stories from Pearl Harbor | 1:00pm
This 20-minute talk will discuss the heroes, myths and legacy of the attack at Pearl Harbor.
