On Tuesday, the Museum hosted the Rube Goldberg Speed Building Challenge, as part of its Kids Week festivities. Contestants popped a balloon using an elaborate contraption of their own design. If you missed out on the fun, we’re hosting another challenge this Friday at noon and 3:30 pm in hangar 3. All you need to bring is your imagination!
About Rube Goldberg Inc.
Rube Goldberg was a Pulitzer Prize–winning cartoonist who depicted elaborate machines that performed simple tasks in an indirect, convoluted way. Rube Goldberg, Inc. keeps laughter and invention alive through the legacy of its namesake with competitions and museum and entertainment programs. At the helm is Rube’s granddaughter and best-selling author Jennifer George, whose book The Art of Rube Goldberg is now in its fourth printing.
