The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum’s Kids Week is in full-swing!  Offering nine days of family-friendly thematic programming, Intrepid is quickly becoming the premier destination for kids and parents alike during this February’s winter break.
Yesterday, Monday, February 21st was Puppet Day.  The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum welcomed Puppetry Arts, a non-profit organization that provides creative outlets and cultural exploration through the multidisciplinary art of puppetry.  Puppetry Arts offered puppet and mask making crafts in addition to several stage performances like: “Puppets Got Talent” and original musical “Oddy Sea.”  Roscoe Orman (Gordon from Sesame Street) even joined in on the fun and hosted a sing-a-long to everybody’s Sesame Street favorites.
Perhaps the biggest highlight of the day, however, was seeing Darth Vader, R2-D2, Chewbacca and at least fifteen Storm Troopers completely take over Intrepid’s Hangar Deck.  The Star Wars characters were a hit with not only the Intrepid’s guests but its staff!
