Curious about voyages to Mars and the science of spaceflight? Join NASA scientists and educators in the Reaching New Heights Pavilion on Pier 86 for hands-on activities and demonstrations for all ages. Touch space tools, see the surface of Mars in 3D, and learn about new spacecraft landing systems. The Reaching New Heights Pavilion is free to visit and open on May 27–29 from 10:00am to 5:00pm and on May 30–31 from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
Ever wondered what it takes to boldly go into space? Find out during The New Right Stuff—a special panel discussion in the Space Shuttle Pavilion on May 28. Learn what it takes to be a space tourist, what happens to the human body after weeks or even months of living in space, and how we should choose who will become the first members of our species to live and die on another planet. Panelists include Jennifer Fogarty, physiologist at NASA; Michael López-Alegría, former astronaut; and Jack Stuster, anthropologist.
