Give your regards to Broadway during Fleet Week! Hear selections from beloved Broadway shows at the Museum over Memorial Day weekend. These performances take place on the pier, so they are open to the public and free to attend.
The showcase will feature selections from Cats, Kinky Boots, The Great Comet, School of Rock, Ernest Shackleton Loves Me and The Imbible: A Spirited History of Drinking and will be emceed by performers from The Play That Goes Wrong.
Music lovers of all styles and ages will find something to enjoy. Kinky Boots—winner of six Tony Awards, including Best Musical—features a score from Cyndi Lauper. Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812 brings to life part of Tolstoy’s War and Peace, with a score that mixes rock, pop, soul, folk and electronic dance music with classic Broadway. And School of Rock, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s adaptation of the movie with Jack Black, has fifth graders unleashing their inner rock stars.
New hits will be joined by an old classic—Cats, one of the world's best-loved musicals, based on the poem by T.S. Eliot.
