Saturday, September 25th, 2010, marked another exciting Operation Slumber overnight at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum. That night, families, organized youth groups and their chaperones discovered what it takes to live, eat and sleep aboard the Intrepid.
Operation Slumber allows guests to experience the Intrepid “after hours” - from sunset until sunrise the following day. Overnighters will have the opportunity to discover the Hangar Deck, play in the Exploreum interactive hall, take a guided tour with a special visit to the Flight Deck (bring your flashlights!) and search for "treasure" during a special Scavenger Hunt!
The Intrepid will host its next Operation Slumber on Saturday, October 9th, 2010 and there is still room for you!
