The Intrepid Museum’s Education Department offers programs for students in grades pre-K–12 who visit from schools, homeschool groups, after-school programs and more. This school year, we are introducing a new and adjusted menu of programs to enrich your learning experience even more!
Con Edison STEM Day Out, beginning October 7, is a new offering at the Museum for Title I public schools in New York City and Westchester County. Through the support of Con Edison, we are providing FREE 90-minute science programs for classes in grades four through eight on the first Wednesday of select months.
Science programs at the Intrepid Museum have an interdisciplinary approach that integrates humanities and the arts. Programs focus on advances in aircraft technology and design, space science, the Space Race, and water as it relates to the form and function of the historic ship Intrepid. Teachers can visit our Science Programs menu to determine which program fits best with their curriculum needs.
