Request to Host a Ceremony

The Wall is a place to honor and remember those who served our country during the Vietnam conflict. Intrepid invites veterans and military groups to host their own ceremonies at The Wall during its time at Intrepid.

There is no charge to host your ceremony, however all ceremonies must be approved in advance by Intrepid.
In Addition:

  • All interested organizations will be given 45 minutes to host their ceremony at the wall. We ask that organizations be respectful of this time window so others are able to appropriately host their own ceremony.

  • One point of contact from your organization must register all your guests in the public plaza outside the Museum main entrance before guests will be admitted to the Pier. All guests will be asked to pass through the magnetometers.

  • The Intrepid Museum will provide up to 25 white folding chairs, a podium and sound system upon request for your ceremony.

  • No other chairs or furniture, podiums or outside sound systems besides those provided by Intrepid are permitted on the Pier for ceremonies.

  • Intrepid reserves the right to not allow banners and/or signs that may be deemed inappropriate.

  • No camera tripods are allowed on the pier. If you plan on having media cover your event please email Luke Sacks, Director of PR and Corporate Communications, at to coordinate media participation.

  • Access to the Wall will not be closed or limited to other visitors during your event time.

  • Guests at your ceremony will not have access to the Intrepid Museum. If your guests would like to purchase tickets to visit the Museum they can do so on the Pier following the ceremony.

  • Parking is not available at the Museum. There are several commercial parking lots on nearby streets.

Ceremony requests must be received by Intrepid by October 28, 2011 and will be reviewed and replied to within 5-7 business days of receipt. Please click here to download our ceremony request form.
