Tonight, Monday, June 20th, the Intrepid Museum, in collaboration with Times Square Playwrights, will present a reading of an original biographical drama: Gene Bullard, C'est Moi!.
TSP playwright, Norman Weinstien skillfully weaves the audience through the life of the world’s first black combat aviator, Eugene Jacques Bullard, who met his enemy in the trenches of Verdun in the combative skies and racists everywhere, but never surrendered. From a childhood of deprivation in Georgia to the French Foreign Legion in World War I, from the heady Montmartre jazz scene to World War II, Gene Bullard, C’est Moi! presents a man with quick fists, a ready smile, and a remarkable gift for survival, personal triumph, and friendship.
The reading will begin at 7:00pm in the Lutnick Theater. This event is FREE and open to the public.
