Battle of the bands

Join us for an epic battle of the big bands and swing dancing on Intrepid’s flight deck, co-presented by Prohibition Productions and the Intrepid Museum.

This special event will conjure the music, dancing and style of the World War II era, right in the middle of Fleet Week. Three of New York City’s best big bands will go head-to-head on the flight deck, with a 3,200-square-foot wooden dance floor (60% bigger than last year!). Head below deck for more live music and swinging dancing on a 1,000-square-foot dance floor. Swing dance performances, a dance contest, swing DJs, a barbershop quartet and beginner swing dance lessons will keep the dance floors moving all night. A vintage fashion contest will add to the flair.

Enjoy a spectacular lineup of over 80 performers. Vintage stylings and costumes, as well as dancing shoes, are strongly encouraged!

Last year sold out fast, so buy your tickets today.
