ACCESS FAMILY PROGRAMS

ACCESS FAMILY PROGRAMS


The Intrepid Museum offers monthly programs for children (ages 5-17) with learning and developmental disabilities. Similar family programs for teens (15+) and adults with developmental disabilities are offered six times a year. These two-hour programs take place on select Sundays during regular Museum hours. Families take a guided, interactive tour of the Museum and participate in art-making activities that everyone can enjoy.

Program Options:


Sunday, October 14
11:00am – 1:00pm — for children ages 5–17
Heroes and Superheroes

Superheroes are not just in the comics—they are also in our communities! Learn about the real-life heroes of Intrepid and the superheroes they inspired. REGISTER NOW


Sunday, November 4
11:00am – 1:00pm — for children ages 5–17
Life in Space

Discover what it takes to travel to and from space! Visit the Space Shuttle Pavilion to learn about life in space and practice training like an astronaut. REGISTER NOW
