ACCESS FAMILY PROGRAMS

ACCESS FAMILY PROGRAMS


The Intrepid Museum offers monthly programs for children (ages 5-17) with learning and developmental disabilities. Similar family programs for teens (15+) and adults with developmental disabilities are offered six times a year. These two-hour programs take place on select Sundays during regular Museum hours. Families take a guided, interactive tour of the Museum and participate in art-making activities that everyone can enjoy.

Sunday, June 17
11:00am – 1:00pm — for children ages 5–17
Intrepid and the Space Race

Discover Intrepid's connection to space travel and America's early ventures into space. Visit the Space Shuttle Pavilion to the see the space shuttle Enterprise, and step inside the Museum's planetarium. REGISTER NOW


Sunday, July 8
11:00am – 1:00pm — for children ages 5–17
Helicopters

Explore the Museum’s helicopter collection. Learn about the many jobs of helicopters, and discover the science behind flight! Families will visit different levels of the ship and create their own designs. REGISTER NOW
