TEEN EVENTS

Teen and College Night
If you want to learn about science, history and technology, connect with colleges or if you’re looking for a unique place to hang with friends, the Intrepid Museum offers free events for teens to connect, learn and meet new people. Throughout the school year, the Museum provides teen audiences with science and history programming, mentorship days, college fairs and teen and college nights. See the listings below for information on upcoming programs.

GOALS for Girls Summer Intensive Virtual Information Session

Each year, the Intrepid Museum welcomes a cohort of 50 New York City girls in 8th and 9th grade to participate in our renowned 6-week GOALS for Girls Summer Intensive. This informational will take prospective participants and their parents through all aspects of the application process and the program itinerary.

Virtual Teen Forum: Supporting BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) Teens in STEAM
Wednesday, February 3 | 4:00pm-5:00pm (ET)

Join us as our interns from the GOALS for Girls program highlight the accomplishments of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and people of color) young professionals in their academic and professional journeys in STEAM. Participants will be inspired and motivated to continue their own pathways towards careers in the sciences.

Girls in Science and Engineering Day
Saturday, March 6 | 1:00am-3:00pm ET

This year, Girls in Science and Engineering Day is going virtual! Join us as we welcome science organizations who will help you expand your mind and spark curiosity about the physical world around you. Hear from science professionals, learn about science projects that your peers are researching and conduct your own science experiments using materials from around your home. Sign up in advance to receive reminders to participate in this special day. This event is most appropriate for tweens and teens, but all ages are welcome.

SAVE THE DATE! Intrepid Museum Virtual Youth Summit
Saturday, June 12

The Intrepid Museum Youth Summit is a FREE virtual conference that invites students to join the Museum for a day of inspiration and action. Participants will hear from highly motivated teens who have created or worked on projects that address issues or problems that they may see in their daily lives, whether locally (neighborhood, borough, or city), nationally or globally. GOALS for Girls Summer Intensive

GOALS for Girls is a FREE six-week STEM program for girls in eighth and ninth grades. During the GOALS Summer Intensive, girls conduct experiments, work on engineering projects and learn in a supportive environment from experts in the STEM fields.

Want to make a positive impact on the world? Students currently attending grades 9, 10 and 11 are eligible to apply for our YLI@Intrepid program, where we help develop their full potential to become positive influences in their communities.
